You tell him, Ailee! With those powerful vocals, this song sure makes the point. I love Ailee’s voice! She sings her heart out and makes me wish I had half her talent.
It’s been a while since You Who Came From the Stars, also known as My Love From Another Star, ended, and I miss the characters so much, specially Do Min Joon many faces (ha!) . . .
and Cheon Song Yi’s spastic moments. . . (double ha!)
My Love from Another Star is a mix of science fiction, romantic comedy and thriller. It’s the story about Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun), an otherworldly being who crashed on Earth 400 years ago in what is now South Korea. Living for centuries, he’s become cynical about human beings. He possesses enhanced vision, hearing and agility as well as a beautiful appearance which does not change no matter his age. His orderly life changes when he meets actress Cheon Song Yi (Gianna Jun) and begins a romance out of this world.
At one point in the drama, Do Min Joon sings this song to Cheon Song Yi, and I can’t get enough of it. What is it about this song that makes me so melancholy? Is it Kim Soo Hyun’s voice or the lyrics? Whatever it is, I want to play this song over and over and over again. I’ve had it on a loop ever since I started writing this post.
These talented guys sing on the streets to get their music out. I found them on Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook and was hooked by the simple melody.
One of my new favorite songs is Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party, which I first heard last week on the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards.
I’m not one to buy music spontaneously, but I downloaded this song within minutes of hearing it. It reminds me of how my late husband always made himself available to me at any time of the day or night.
Often, I’d call him up at 2 am, when I couldn’t sleep. He always said he’d rather be with me than do anything else.
